Little by little, banks are joining Apple Pay and are becoming compatible with the application.
Everything is to make life more comfortable for Apple users.
BBVA will be compatible with Apple Pay
It seemed untrue that one of the most important Spanish banks was not yet compatible with Apple Pay.
In fact, it is one of the few banks or savings banks that remained to join the Cupertino payment method.
But, as we see on the Apple website, BBVA will be compatible with Apple Pay.
More entities are attached to this method
The news broke after we found out that they were joining Apple Pay Bankia and Banco Sabadell .
And now they inform us that BBVA will be compatible with Apple Pay along with BancaMarch and Bankinter .
We still do not know the date on which the clients of these banks and savings banks will be able to activate the cards in the application.
Although we think it won't take too long and it will probably be before the summer.
The news is extremely important, as almost all banks in Spain will be compatible with Apple Pay.
Although there are still some pending, like ING, we don't know if they plan to join. Let's hope so.
Currently, the entities that support Apple Pay are:
- American Express
- Bankinter
- BankinterCard
- boon
- bunq
- CaixaBank
- Caja Rural
- Carrefour
- EVO Bank
- ImaginBank
- N26
- Openbank
- Orange
- Santander Bank
- Sodexo
- Ticket Restaurant Edenred
And soon they will be:
- BancaMarch
- Bankia
- BBVA
- Banco Sabadell
It seems that in Latin America they will still have to wait. A few months ago the arrival of Apple Pay began in Brazil.
A reminder of how it works
Remember that to activate the service you just have to scan the card from the native application of the iOS Wallet.
Once scanned, you will be sent an SMS with a confirmation code.
It's very simple.
And what about Apple Pay Cash?
Well, for the moment, nothing new.
Although some users have started to receive this new method, they have not been able to fully configure it.
So at the moment, we can't send money via iMessage.
And you, do you use Apple Pay?
