We return to the main menu of Whatsapp settings and select “Chats” .
In the menu that appears we have to look at the option «Save to the reel «. In this case we will have to deactivate this option. In this way, we will avoid downloading the photos and videos received in the chats automatically on our device.
Avoid saving all images and videos
If we are under our data rate, this will cause a considerable expense in our mobile data.
If we want to download some of the received files, we can do it without spending a megabyte. We connect to a WIFI network and choose the photos and videos we want to download.
We access the chat where the photo or video that we want to save is located, we will click on it and pressing the share button (small square with an arrow pointing up) will give us the option to SAVE.
Turn off automatic backups of conversations:
And finally, there is the chat backup menu. To do this, in the configuration menu of «CHATS» we must click on the tab «Chat Backup».
Don't make automatic chat copies.
In it, click on the setting «AUTOMATIC COPY» and select the option «NO». By doing this we avoid that they can be make backup copies under our mobile data plan.
If we want to make a copy, we recommend connecting to a WIFI network and pressing the button « Back up now «.
