Increasingly, especially in large cities, it is essential to check the state of traffic from our iPhone. The large number of cars that move on the roads of Spain and other countries make it increasingly difficult to predict the time it will take us to get to, for example, our job.
Traffic restrictions are the order of the day. Traffic lights, junctions and, above all, accidents, are the ones that cause queues and retentions that can drive the most peaceful and calm of drivers crazy.
Traffic in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia at rush hour is brutal and, if you have to get around in those hours, with your car, we encourage you to use the option of Apple Maps , where it informs us in real time about the traffic conditions in your city.
Surely many of you will wonder why not access the information from the DGT? Unfortunately, and given its bad app, accessing this traffic information from mobile devices is somewhat chaotic and not very intuitive. They must improve a lot so that we can recommend this way of information.
CHECK THE TRAFFIC STATE ON YOUR MOBILE:
To carry out this type of consultation, we simply have to access the native MAPAS app.
In it we must press the "i" button, located in the upper right part of the screen. This will open a menu where we can activate the TRAFFIC option.
After activating it, if you did not already have it activated, we will zoom in on the areas in which we are interested in knowing the traffic status.
We can also create a route and find out if we will run into any retention in any area. If this is the case, we can avoid it by creating a parallel route that avoids us going through that area.
The map will highlight the blocked roads in black. With red color the areas with retentions. With orange, roads with dense traffic.
Save fuel and avoid getting angry by checking the state of traffic before leaving home:
As we mentioned at the beginning of this article, it doesn't cost anything to take a look at the state of traffic in your city before taking the car. Especially if you live in big cities.
If you haven't done it before, we encourage you to do it now. You will not regret it. If we told you how many times we've avoided traffic jams using Apple Maps, you'd be amazed.
We hope the article has interested you and that you share it wherever you want. We are not scrupulous ;).
