Apart from deleting notifications from apps that I don't want to receive, I also configured to my liking all notifications from apps that I do want to receive notifications from.
In important topics, such as calls, messages, calendar events, and reminders, I set them all to ALERT, so that those windows that require an action appear at the moment
Many other application notifications, I have them configured to appear in STRIPS and be able to view them while using the device. These will appear at the top of the screen and do not require an action to remove them. Clicking on them will access it.
And to the least, I have not assigned any ALERT STYLE. They will simply emit a sound and/or the typical little red balloon will appear on the app icon.
APPS INCLUDED IN THE NOTIFICATION CENTER:
The notification center is the function that we have on our iOS devices, in which all notifications from apps that we have included in it appear. To access these, we simply have to move our finger from the top of the screen, downwards. In this way we will see a summary of all the notifications of the apps included in this function.
In this notification center I have included those that I consider important (usually from messaging apps, social networks of interest to me, calendars and reminders). Those that I do not catalog like this, I have excluded from it, but that does not mean I will stop receiving warnings in the form of sounds, strips, alerts in the way that I have it configured.
There are apps that will only notify me of something through the red balloon that will appear at the top right of the app icon.
THE MOST IMPORTANT CHANGE I'VE MADE TO MY IPHONE NOTIFICATIONS:
But the biggest change I've made to the way I get notifications that has even helped me improve my battery life is to disable in all APPS , the option « VIEW ON THE LOCKED SCREEN » (access it from SETTINGS / NOTIFICATIONS / and clicking on each of the applications from which you receive some type of notice).
This way I prevent notifications from accumulating on the lock screen and in this way I also prevent the screen from turning on every time I receive one of them. In this way, it also saves on battery consumption.
What I do receive every time a notification arrives, with my phone locked and at rest, is a sound. Since I have a sound configured for each app, when I listen to them I know from which application the warning comes. To consult them, I just have to unlock the iPhone and consult the notification center to see the notifications received. And even in the icons of the apps, we can see the red balloons that reveal that something has arrived in them.
And you will all ask yourselves, what can you see on the lock screen? Well, tell you that I can enjoy the time, my wallpaper and in the notification center I can only check the calendar, where I can see today's events and those I have for tomorrow.
WHY DID I REMOVE MY NOTIFICATIONS FROM THE LOCK SCREEN?
I am going to enumerate why I have acted like this:
- For privacy: No one will be able to know what notifications I receive, from what app, or anything like that.
- For peace of mind: By not seeing what notifications I receive, I avoid going every once in a while to my device to check each notification received.
- To enjoy my wallpaper: I like it a lot, every time I activate the screen of my iPhone, see the image background that I have configured. Normally they are family photos, of trips, of landscapes that I like to see
- To check my schedule: Just being able to see my calendar in the notification center on the lock screen has helped me to organize myself better and not to miss things or events that I have every day.
- To improve autonomy of my battery: Preventing the screen from turning on every two by three when a warning arrives, I have noticed a significant improvement in the battery life of theiPhone Also, in the same way and as I have commented before, I avoid continuously entering the device.
This is not to say that everyone does the same. I will tell you how well it has gone for me with this change that I have made when it comes to receiving notifications so that you have a new point of view on this. If you are interested, I encourage you to try it.
Greetings!!!
