The Surname is the Historical-Genetic information of the human being. The surname is the part of the name with which the roots of origin of a person are defined. The surname is the word that follows after the first name, said word is inherited from generation to generation until it finally loses the lineage. Last names vary in the way they are placed and expressed in different ways, all according to the culture that the community professes, but basically, in the full name of a person the father's last name comes first than the mother's. For example, My name is Augusto Centeno and my wife is called Ana Medina, Our descendants will take my last name first and then hers, example: Laura Valentina Centeno Medina.

In ancient times it was customary that the person could carry an unlimited number of names and surnames, which according to the closeness of the family circle were added to the small child. Such is the case of the liberator Simón Bolívar whose full name is “ Simón José Antonio de la Santísima Trinidad Bolívar de la Concepción and Ponte Palacios y Blanco ” and that way of naming people is not used like that, society has been limited to 2 names and surnames corresponding to the parents. There are countries where surnames are not used such as Tibet and the island of Java, only the name of the individual is said, it is not much of a problem since the names in these Asian cities are not repeated frequently.
