It is one of the municipalities in Spain, considering itself one of the most populated in the country with 6,633,736 inhabitants in total (including the metropolitan area). It is a city that has become quite famous around the world for the tourist attraction it represents, above all because various events of great importance have been held there, such as the Universal Exposition, the Olympic Games and the International Exposition, in addition to being a city very rich in culture. It is a city that unites, in terms of commercial export, the country with France. In the same way, its name has been quite controversial, since it is not known what the true origin of the term is and some explanations have been given that are somewhat fanciful or that are historically meaningless.
Barcelona developed through the ages and was governed by different men who came to the place and tried to make it their own. He let himself be carried away by the artistic currents of the Middle Ages and the customs that these imposed, this being one of the many reasons why he became artistically rich; some of the most important figures in literature and painting saw the light for the first time in this city.
