The field of study makes reference to the different specialties that define a science; always oriented towards knowledge. These specialties are generally taught at universities and institutes of higher education. For example, in the part of psychology, there is a field of study that is that of phobias; the psychology student can focus on this topic and specialize in it.
As well as this there are many subdivisions within the same science that allow the student to choose which is the one that interests him most. These studies are of utmost importance since they allow us to move towards a specific preparation of a knowledge, which needs to be investigated and renewed with new ideas, especially when the results obtained do not present a conclusion that shows that it is correct.
The fields of study emerged during the nineteenth century, when there were barely four faculties in the institutes of higher education: medicine, theology, the arts, and law. At that time, it began with the expansion in the study pensum entering specialties such as language and literature, technology and science that includes biology, chemistry, physics and engineering.
With the passage of time the fields of study were further increased adding new specialties such as sociology, psychology and education. From there, more and more careers began to be added, such as nursing, computing, administration, accounting, etc.
