The stone age is classified into three different periods based on the development of the tools that were designed during them, these are the Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic.

  • Paleolithic: it began with the development of instruments made of stone made by Homo Habilis, this period dates back more than 2 million years, during that time life on earth was difficult due to climate phenomena (glaciations) and diversity of dangerous animals, man was characterized by gathering fruits and hunting animals, used to gather in small populations that were in constant movement in search of animals that provided them with food. This period in turn is subdivided into three, the Paleolithic, the lower, the middle and the upper. The Lower Palaeolithic, the settlers who inhabited the earth during this, were characterized by the development of rudimentary tools such as axes that facilitated hunting, which together with the collection in a safe source of food.
