At school, for example, when students enter the building, or when a special event is held, they are made to line up, with the shortest in front and tallest at the back, in order of ascending height.
In the field of computing, the term row has two uses, on the one hand, it designates that data structure that involves a sequence of parts with two types of operations that are performed at their ends: insertion and extraction. And on the other hand, on a sheet of calculation, which is a recognized software (Excel) that allows us to manipulate numbers and alphanumeric data, the row is to the side of the column how to organize data.
At the request of the military context, a line will be a line formed by soldiers, horses, artillery, vehicles, among others, that is, each one is located next to each other. In this same area, the row can designate that active force, that is, the one that has been in action.
For its part, the Indian line is the name given to the one formed by several individuals who marched one after another on a path, whether real or imaginary. The origin of the term dates back to the discovery of America, since the natives of those times used to move in this way, all together, one after another, on a path.
Also, the word is used as a synonym for grouping or matching.
