Fire, a word that comes from the Latin “focus”, and refers to the place where the fire was lit to cook, at first the focus was the center of attention and lighting of the home where the family met to warm up and do their activities.
Fire comprises a chemical oxidation reaction through which energy is released in the air in the form of heat, it is also a series of particles that have combustion which is capable of generating the release of heat, carbon dioxide, water vapor, flame and smoke.
At first the fire was created by a friction process, where two stones were rubbed together and as a consequence sparks were generated. Today, for fire to originate, it is necessary to combine a fuel, an oxidizer and activation energy, these three elements have been called the fire triangle or combustion triangle, if one of these elements is missing or not this in the right proportion we will not get fire. Because if there is not enough heat, fuel or oxygen, the fire can neither start nor spread.
The fire extinguishing method is based on the elimination of one or more of the elements of the triangle and the chain reaction. Among the extinction methods we have; by cooling, which one of the elements used is water; then we have suffocation, in this case it is about eliminating oxygen; Another method is the dispersion or isolation of the fuel and finally we have the inhibition of the chain reaction.
