It has two uses or meanings. In the first place, it represents everything that has an unlimited or infinite duration and on the other hand, from a religious or belief perspective, the term is used to represent or catalog that which is immortal or eternal.
The imperishable can be objective or subjective, depending on how the person decides to use the word, using reason, facts and evidence to confirm it, or being carried away by feelings, emotions or thoughts.
When used in an objective way, the term is commonly used to indicate something or some objective that has had a duration in the universal plane, that is, that existed in the past, continues to exist in the here and now and shows that it will continue to exist in the future, thus showing an unlimited or infinite life span or presence. An example of this can be the sun, planet earth, the moon and the planets.
It is objective because it is perceptible, there is evidence and anyone can corroborate that what is said is true, since reason is being used.
On the other hand, there is the imperishable that dates from the subjective, that is, from what is thought or felt, which is often given by feelings or beliefs, the latter shared by someone else and adopted by the individual.
Both feelings and beliefs show that they are induced or that they represent a stimulation or presence of an external agent.
Consequently, what is considered this way is exposed as imperishable, for its own motivation, regardless of the fact that it has the evidence. An example of this can be friendship or undying love, cataloged as such by someone, when feelings invade him.
On the other hand, they are understood as imperishable to God, the virgin, gods of Greek mythology, which have to do with religion and with thought or belief.
Despite the above, the term has transcended and has begun to be used in companies, having an economic connotation. For example, companies have begun to call "imperishable products" those that manage to retain their properties (smell, taste, consistency) for a long period of time, before expiring, decomposing or spoiling.
