The word research comes from Latin roots, specifically from the entry “investigatĭo” or “investiōnis”; although other sources allege that it comes from the Latin voice "vestigium" which means "footprint". Several dictionaries expose the word as the action and effect of investigating or the fact of investigating; and research is studying and searching for information on a certain topic, in addition to trying to know something from examining certain details. Now research can be defined as that methodical, systematized, objective and orderly process, which aims to answer certain questions, theories, assumptions, conjectures and / or hypotheses that are presented at a given moment on a given topicResearch also allows the acquisition of knowledge and information on a topic or subject that is unknown. Then an investigation is an orderly action destined or directed to obtain or acquire, through observation and experimentation, new knowledge about different fields of technology and science.
The scientific research is scientific advances resulting from scientific method, used for troubleshooting, or to find ways to explain certain assumptions. On the other hand, in technological research, certain scientific knowledge is used for the development and advancement of technologies.
It is important to mention that from the very beginning of man, he had to face problems of different kinds, so for the same reason he began to ask himself different questions, such as, Why? Why? and how? of things, and that's how the investigation originated, in order to answer these questions that over time it has been answering.
Research can be conducted on humans, plants, animals, etc. And when it is carried out with animals and people, they must be guided by a series of specific rules about their treatment that in most countries are created by the government, to ensure that people and animals are treated in a respectful and dignified way, and that this investigation does not cause them any harm.
