The quantitative method also known as quantitative, empirical-analytical, rationalist or positivist research is one that is based on numbers to investigate, analyze and verify information and data; This attempts to specify and delimit the association or correlation, in addition to the strength of the variables, the generalization and objectification of each of the results obtained to deduce a population; and for this a methodical or orderly collection or collection is needed, and to analyze all the numerical information that one has. This method is one of the most used by science, computer science, mathematics and statistics as the main tool. That isquantitative methods use quantifiable values such as percentages, magnitudes, rates, costs, among many others; then it can be stated that quantitative investigations, ask clearly specific questions and the responses of each of the participants reflected in the surveys, obtain numerical samples.
Specifically, the quantitative method proposes to answer questions such as, how many? Who? To what extent?; to later be manifested and presented to the world; This has the characteristic of measuring and detecting degree differences, and uses a quantified vision. In addition, through this quantitative research, it makes it possible to inform a society about the implementation of public policies and political laws, where it is necessary to know information or percentages on the totality of a population or community and report on the indicators.
The quantitative method is opposed to the so-called qualitative method, also known as qualitative research, which involves more general questions and collects exact information from the research participants, which cannot be expressed in numbers or figures, but rather in words.
