Matter is the name given to the basic substance that makes up each of the elements found in the world, whether they have come naturally or were created by man, the word matter comes from the Latin "Mater" which means "Mother". And for its part, the word cousin is also of Latin origin whose meaning is "First", the Romans to locate themselves in time divided the day into four parts, and the first part of the day was called cousin.
The Raw Material are all those natural resources that man uses in the production of products. These elements that human beings extract from nature are transformed into various goods, and the way they do it is under some industrial process. In this sense, it can be emphasized that the subject that uses the raw material in order to carry out its work is the industry, because without the use of it they could not carry out their objectives.
Thanks to the great diversity that nature can offer us, there is a classification of the raw material that is used:
- Of Organic Origin: (Vegetable) such as wood that is used to make different types of furniture, tables or chairs, cotton and linen are used in the manufacture of textiles and clothing, there are also cereals, fruits and vegetables that we they provide food sustenance. And (Animal) from where you get food from beef, fish or poultry, milk and eggs, as well as skins, leather, silk and wool that provide their utility to make shoes, upholstery, clothing and much more.
- Of Inorganic Origin: (Mineral) either metals such as iron, gold, silver, copper, aluminum, etc. Whether or not salt or marble metals, the elements of this category are used to make jewelry and different types of utensils or also in the construction field.
- Of Fossil Origin: such as gas and oil with which fuel, plastics, etc. can be made.
- Another type of classification that is given according to its availability is renewable or non-renewable raw material.
