RAM memory is a chip or card that is part of an electronic device such as a computer or a telephone that is used to store information or direct access data. RAM is an acronym in English that means "Random Access Memory" when translated into Spanish we get " Random Access Memory ". Together with the ROM memory, they form the space of the terminal that is responsible for saving all the data that enters it. The RAM memory in all cases, acts as a short-term memory since it is used to save all the files and data generated for the operation of applications that are kept open at the same time on the computer.
Nowadays, RAM memories can be enlarged in a computer, allowing the machine to have a greater number of applications open at the same time without slowing down the process. Let's see an example: when we open the browser of a computer (which is an application) it begins to save data for optimal performance, if we minimize the tab, the PC's RAM continues to execute its power over this application so that it stays where they left it operating. If the RAM capacity were low, when you open the browser again, it would not have all the tabs open and you would have to do the procedure again.
In the field of the Smartphone, applications are becoming heavier, therefore they need more RAM, of course the RAM of these devices does not have the same capacity and support as that of a computer, however they serve the same purpose.
