It is the organ that allows to recreate an image of the outside, transforming the light into small electrical impulses, which travel through billions of neurons, in addition to the optic nerve, connected to the visual cortex, where the information is analyzed and an attempt is made to identify what is being seen. First, it captures the light and adjusts it through the iris and then it can be focused on the objective (the something that is observed), thanks to the lens.

According to theories developed by different scientific communities, humans and animals have different degrees of development of the optical apparatus, all this due to the theory of evolution, which proposes a different history of creation than was traditionally known in medieval times and some centuries later; This proposes that the bacteria in the vast seas in prehistory began to develop a body and become larger, at the same time that they began to develop organs, including the eye; at first it was a primitive mechanism and vision was very blurry. Through millions of years, nature perfected its creation, although not simultaneously, since the evolution of species it is more advanced if they appeared in times before others.

The vertebrates and invertebrates have different eyes, as the former have the inverted retina and the last no; this is an advantage, because there is no blind spot that characterizes the inverted retina. The structure of the eye consists of different layers and elements, these are: the eyeball, is the sphere that contains all the elements and is full of aqueous humor (liquid composed mostly of water); it also has three layers: the retina, the choroid, and the sclera; the area that is responsible for perceiving and regulating light is made up of the lens, the pupil, the iris and the retina.
