From the Latin "pensare" comes the term thought. Thought is understood as the faculty or power of thinking, it can also be defined as the action and effect of thinking. Thought is all that activity, action and creation carried out by the mind, that is, everything that is brought into existence through the intellect; generally the word is related or used to define all those products that the mind could generate that include the rational activities of the intellect or the abstractions of our imagination; everything related to mental nature is considered thought, be it rational, creative, abstract, artistic, etc.
Human beings think every day of our lives, and it is important to emphasize that these thoughts have certain characteristics, for example these are cumulative and develop over time and that they act from thought strategies that are incorporated among them; and such strategies are inclined to problem solving.
You can find different types of thoughts such as, the inductive, is one that goes from the particular to the general; followed by the deductive, which is the opposite of the previous one, since it goes from the general to the particular, to find the reason for things; then there is critical thinking, this examines, evaluates and asks the why of things; the analytical thinking is one that for better or understanding comprencion separates the parts of a situation and categorizes and identifies; the investigator usually uses questions to achieve thought or problem solving; the systemic, which encompasses a complex vision that constitutes several elements and their interrelationships; the thought of synthesis where a set of options or positions and combines and finally grouped creative that modifying or creating something is used.
