The 5W2H plan refers to a kind of planning of a business project but in a simpler way than usual, thanks to it there is the possibility of clearly establishing the real status of a business plan, for this reason it is considered to this as an instrument that helps to determine the aspects related to productivity. This plan is mainly based on the creation of a spreadsheet in which 7 questions are asked and an answer must be sought to each of them. Which are 1 “What” (What) 2 Why (Why) 3 When (When) 4 Where (Where) 5 Who (Who) 1 How (How) 2 How much (How much). These questions are responsible for the name of the plan, by the initials of each question.
As experts say, ideas become legitimate the moment they are put on paper, which makes the 5W2H plan the perfect tool for this, especially to maintain organizational control through a set of lists that facilitate control, being ideal for those projects that are in the initial phase since they allow to show a broader vision of the issues to be addressed and what must be done to advance in that sense, not to mention that it is very easy to understand by almost anyone.
Thanks to the plan, complicated situations can be faced, since by applying a plan the benefits that the project itself may have can be increased, in addition to being useful for the incorporation of young trained personnel with what can be the product that you want to commercialize. This methodology stands out with respect to other types of planning due to the fact that it is very easy to use and understand, while remaining complete, effective and malleable, that is, it can be adjusted depending on the situation that is required even after the plan has already been implemented.
Due to its ease it is possible that any company with business objectives can apply it. There are those who compare this method with the aphorism " divide and conquer " since the 5W2H allows to plan in a segmented way.
