It is known as plan PIVE a program whose primary goal is to try to promote an initiative and that is to eradicate the use of old cars, for that reason the plan focuses on the fact promote and encourage owners of such vehicles eliminate them and buy newer cars. These types of programs are generally supported by governments and in recent times have become very popular since they are associated with a series of advantages for the user, as well as for the automotive industry and at the same time for the environment.
The PIVE Plan itself consists of a contribution of 1000 euros by the manufacturer, along with another 1000 provided by the Ministry of Industries, so that the user can purchase a new vehicle that does not exceed the figure of 25 thousand euros, while the car that is deregistered must be over 12 years old. This means that the amount for which the consumer purchases the new vehicle will be much lower, thanks to government and manufacturer contributions. However, it is important to note that depending on the economic level of the user, vehicle discounts may vary. Similarly and leaving aside the monetary aspect, another favorable aspect is the fact that the eradication of old vehicles and their procedures is much easier.
In order for the PIVE plan to be applied, a requirement must be met and that is the elimination of a vehicle that is more than 12 years old. For its part, the vehicle to be purchased must be electric and the fuel used must be alternative, such as gas, or failing that, said car is classified as A or B according to the energy efficiency levels of the IDEA.
