We can say that the press known as an artifact created mainly to exert pressure on an object or space. The most common press used in different situations or for different purposes is the mechanical press, whose main effect is to crush or press an object or element between two rigid layers of material (wood, metal, stone, among others).

In the branch or system of the mechanical press it was used when the printing press was created, since it implied the printing of letters on paper through the use of force. That is, press the letter molds on the sheet of paper to form a text.

Today, the press and the media have a very important value in Western society because they are largely responsible for bringing information to a large part of the population, although it can often be fragmented or subject to bias due to political interests, economic or otherwise. The role of the press vis-à-vis democracies or other forms of government is today, without a doubt, a very complex phenomenon worthy of study.

The hydraulic press as a tool, on the other hand, has a mechanism with communicating vessels that are initiated by pistons and that, through various low intensity forces, allow the most intense ones to be reached.

The rotary or popularly rotary press is a printing device in which what is printed is curved on a cylindrical surface and therefore uses continuous rollers that allow it to print large quantities with high speed.
