It is called Pressure, the immediate reaction that one body exerts on another in relation to weight or force. Technically pressure refers to two fundamental types, oppression and compression, oppression is commonly associated with the lack of freedom of a subject to move with full independence, and compression refers to the effort or impediment that one body makes on another, preventing its exit from somewhere.
The pressure is applied in scientific terms, for example in chemistry, the pressure of a certain vapor or gas can cause the rupture of a reactor, as well as in some measuring instrument it can yield relevant data from any study. Pressure is basically used to determine processes in which temperature plays a fundamental role in conducting an experiment with a chemical reaction.
The term pressure is also applied in cases in which an individual with greater power or status imposes himself on another, coercing him to perform a task or collect a kind of rent or vaccine so that said pressure ceases. This type of pressure can be carried out on a group of people as well, in whom brute force on a larger scale predominates, so those affected by this situation are seriously affected. So much so, that pressure became a methodology in times past, to mobilize colonies, force villagers to pay protection and even participate in religions. Many times the most recurrent threat in these cases has been the warning of exercising some type of violence against loved ones.
Pressure is also positive, since it is used to reach goals that will be favorable for a team or organization, such is the case of sports, in which pressure is used as a weapon to encourage them to win a goal, in such a way that the team is pressured by a coach to do their duty.
