The word face is used to define the front part of the human skull. It is commonly called a face or face. Within the face are included: the eyebrows, eyes, nose, cheekbones, mouth and chin. The face is who defines the identity of a person, that is to say that through the face you can recognize and distinguish people.
Emotions can also be expressed through the face, thanks to the soft tissues that make it up. The face is made up of 30 pairs of muscles, which are located on the bones. Regarding the relationship between the face and the senses, it can be said that it is very important since 4 of the 5 senses are located in it: sight, smell, taste and hearing.
At the aesthetic level, it is said that people have 7 different types of face:
- Round face: this type of face does not have a defined or perfect circular shape, its most prominent area is usually the area of the cheekbones and cheeks.
- Elongated face: characterized in that the size of the jaw and forehead bones are practically the same. The most prominent part of these faces is the forehead.
- Diamond face: distinguished by having a narrow forehead. In addition to being short, the chin usually ends in a point. The most prominent area is the cheekbones.
- Oval face: this type of face is ideal, since it has a harmonious and symmetrical shape. Both the chin, cheekbones and forehead are the same size.
- Triangle face: usually has a slightly narrow forehead. His cheeks and jaws are very marked.
- Inverted triangle face: in this type of face the forehead is much wider. The strongest feature of these faces are the cheeks.
- Square face: its main characteristic is that it has a very wide forehead and jaw.
