We commonly know or recognize a know-it-all person because; generally, they are those who think they know everything or presume to have more knowledge than they really do.
Smarties adopt the following characteristics:
• They believe that they can do everything, that there is no one better than them.
• They believe that they are always right and that they never make mistakes.
• They love each other in an unhealthy way, they are extremely self-centered.
• Their self- confidence is extreme, but this prevents them from seeing the risks of their actions.
• They believe that everyone loves and depends on them.
• They talk extremely and are loud.
• They do not take into account anyone to perform their tasks or perform any activity because they consider that no one is prepared for it.
• People generally reject them: “they are the typical know-it-all”.
• They are vain, in extreme cases they reach “narcissism”. Narcissus was a very beautiful young man who every day contemplated his own beauty in a lake. He was so fascinated with himself that one day he fell into the lake and drowned. In the place where it fell, a flower called narcissus was born.
• They feel very attractive (and not necessarily physically).
• They think they are the most interesting people in the world.
• You think they beat anyone at everything.
• Believes that they impact anyone who knows them.
• They like to be praised.
• Finally, they believe that all people are obliged to love them and to show it.
It is important to note that a well-educated person with some wisdom does not adopt an attitude like that of the know-it-all. The man or woman with a true intellectual stature is usually humble, because he is aware that his knowledge is small compared to everything he ignores. In this sense, the wise man would be the antithesis of the know-it-all. The wise person is someone who has a desire to learn, while the know-it-all has no intellectual modesty and considers that they already know everything.
