South America is the southern subcontinent of America that was subdued by the Iberian conquerors during the 16th century who wanted to dominate the continent for 300 years. It presents a great climatic and geographical division, highlighting the Amazon rainforests, the rugged peaks of the Andes mountain range, the arid Atacama desert, Atacama islands, remote islands such as the Galapagos and Fernando de Noronha, paradisiacal beaches in the Caribbean and the Atlantic and the harsh landscapes of Patagonia.
The Cordillera de los Andes is the main mountain range that runs through almost the entire west of South America, traveling along countries such as Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia as it passes through Venezuela, it is at the highest point of the country, for one side is the Bolivar Peak, 5000 meters high above sea level and is within the Sierra Nevada de América Natural Park.
The Amazon is a part of the central and northern region of South America that includes the tropical forest of the Amazon basin, between the Guyanas massif and the Brazilian shield or massif and east to west from the Atlantic Ocean to the mountain range of the Andes and its huge area is 7,000,000 km2, which occupies the territories of Brazil and to a lesser extent are those of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela, Suriname, etc.
The paradisiacal beaches found in the Caribbean comprise the region located between North America and South America bathed by the coasts of the Caribbean Sea, which has more than 4000 kilometers of coastline, of which more than half corresponds to spaces full of golden sand.
