An Onerous title is that benefit, payment, consideration that is generated from a legal relationship. The etymology brings us “Onerosus”, a Latin term that means Heavy, we can deduce from this origin that it is everything that is earned by providing a service. The term is adapted to those considerations that generate a dividend that satisfies the needs of those who offer their shares for the benefit of others. In law, the lawyer's code teaches that services can be for consideration, classifying a great platform for the collection of benefits, but it can also be done free of charge, that is to say that it does not charge anything.
In a legal relationship there are as many actors as possible, regardless of their nature, they all have one thing in common, a self-interest that seeks the benefit of its objective. In this relationship, there is a creditor whose objective is to deliver the product that the other party wants or to provide the service that is available in the offer, the onerous title is usually always in the middle, being the payment that is received for what is employs for relationship.
An example of an onerous title: A person has a pipe damaged in his house, so you should hire an expert who knows what type of tool to use to repair your pipe. The mere putting into practice of the knowledge to repair something that does not belong to him, deserves the payment of an onerous title. Each person who offers a service considers that it is a right to be awarded the profits for their contribution. It is a duty for whoever receives the provision of this to cancel it for the obvious reason of the relationship that is present.
