Termalgin is a drug whose main active is paracetamol. It acts as an inhibitor of the synthesis of prostaglandins, cellular mediators that cause the appearance of pain, which is why this drug has analgesic properties; in the same way it has antipyretic effects. It is a drug widely used in cases of pain and fever caused by the common cold.
Its commercial presentation is in tablets of 500mg, and in oral solution of 120ml. It is administered orally. It is used to relieve the mild to moderate discomfort of headaches, colds, menstrual pain, muscle pain, throat pain, reactions to vaccines, etc. As well as to lower the fever.
It is indicated for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. The doctor will indicate the recommended space between one intake and another, generally it is every 8 hours. If the fever lasts more than 3 days or the pain exceeds 5 days, you should stop the treatment and consult a doctor immediately. Its sale is without prescription.
If the person takes termalgin more than necessary, it can produce adverse effects (although not all people suffer from it): low blood pressure, dizziness, abdominal pain, damage to the liver, blood disorders, etc. In these cases you should see a doctor.
It is recommended not to take termalgin if you are allergic to paracetamol, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. If the person suffers from any kidney or liver disease, they should consult a doctor, if they can take this drug.
This medicine must be kept out of the reach of children. Do not give it after the expiration date.
