What is feminicidal violence? »Its definition and meaning

Anonim

It is considered as hate crimes against the female gender, it is called femicide or femicide to any form of violation of their rights as a human being, due to their status as a female gender, treating them with impunity both in the political, judicial sphere, and in rights public and private.

Femicidal violence is related to the murder, in most cases, of women and girls who are violated with inhuman cruelty because they are women and of weak condition, where in their mistreatment they cause physical, emotional, psychological havoc, leading them to lose their freedom and life. This concept proposes to be established for all violence, both physical and emotional, to all women of any age, who, even before birth, if due to an act of negligence and lack of voluntary attention against a woman, the abortion occurred; either by a public entity, family members, abusive partner or husband. That is, all discrimination against their gender against their morals, health or well-being is considered abuse, mistreatment, feminicidal violence.

Even if the fact does not have physical violence only of verbal facts, I treat, as recognized by the activists defending the rights of women, Diana Russell, Mary Warren, Jill Radford and the feminist politician Marcela Lagarde, who have contributed to this word, varied meanings expanding it beyond daily punishable acts, which become offenses towards women.

This has gone from country to country, where organizations have fought for the legitimate right to respect women, where civil, national and international institutions, such as Amnesty International, the Inter-American International Court of Human Rights, the European Parliament, in Spain with the Congress of Deputies who have shown their discontent and support for this cause and in the Congress of the United States, plus these are joined by various NGOs, support group movements, such as artists and politicians and now with the rise of social networks where cases of abuse and mistreatment are reported in real time.
