The operating system belonging to Android, called Eclair, was distributed only a month after the release of its predecessor, the Android Donut, which had a not very attractive interface and did not have all the options incorporated in the new version. In October 2009, the final product, developed by Google, was shown to the public, in which it presented major changes with respect to the interface, in addition to the manageability.
Previous editions featured a simple color aesthetic, a feature that changed dramatically when the main menu layout was first appreciated, with more solid colors and animations that made use of many types of movements, as well as a palette of wide colors. As is common, the Google search bar was also used, as well as improvements in the operation of the camera, adding different tools so that images could be edited. The experience in using the internet was improved, due to the implementation of bookmarks. In messaging, the option to search, through a series of tools, for saved messages, also helped the general improvement.
It should be noted that Android Inc., the company in charge of its development, had been developing different versions of its operating system, but these did not work in the way it was required, so they decided to design new options. Currently, this company is one of the largest distributors in the world in the technological field. It works together with companies such as T-Mobile, LG, Samsung Electronics, Nvidia, Intel, Motorola, Broadcom Corporation, Texas Instruments and Sprint Nextell, in an organization called the “Open Handset Alliance”.
