Physical warm-up is called a group of exercises that are carried out both by the joints and by all the muscles that make up the body, these must be put into practice progressively, in order to condition the body so that it obtains an excellent physical performance and consequently avoid any type of injuries and muscle spasms, this activity is also known as sports warm-up, it should be noted that the word warm-up refers to the high temperature that the muscles reach thanks to this activity.
The main objective of this type of exercise is that the muscles that are in a state of inactivity progressively increase their temperature as the warm-up increases its intensity over the minutes, that is, in its initial phases The exercises will be of a low level, then the level should be increased slowly, this is because first it is due to conditioning the muscles before performing the most demanding exercises, in this way the muscle is prevented from making too much effort which would end up harming the person who has done it because of an injury.
Warming is divided into four different types and these are the following:
- Preventive heating: it must be put into practice by those individuals who are in a recovery stage after having suffered an injury, this type of heating can be accompanied by therapies such as hydromassages and heat baths.
- Generalized warm-up: it is one whose exercises are of a low level, since the objective of this is to condition the muscles before putting into practice any physical activity that demands a greater demand.
- Dynamic warm-up: named in this way since it starts various exercise modalities, such as coordination, strength, balance and flexibility, in order to keep each of these areas in shape.
- Specific warm-up : these are exercises designed to exercise a specific area of the body, generally this type of warm-up is put into practice by individuals who perform a specific sport and require more preparation in certain areas.
