Anonim

There is a character called a sensor who is in charge of monitoring and intervening, if necessary, in people's behavior and morals. Through the years, many censorship interventions have been made on the press, films, books, etc. Censorship implies the prohibition or limitation of an expression because it is deemed offensive or harmful.

Generally, censorship is usually linked to the intention of a government to prevent the disclosure of information that is contrary to its interests. In democratic governments, censorship is prohibited, that is, those in power have no reason to prevent the dissemination of information, and if what is disclosed commits any fault, the justice will take the pertinent decisions.

When censorship is moral, the censor's mission is to analyze the different works (films, novels, books) in order to eliminate everything that may be indecent or that goes against the morals of society, such as, eliminate scenes from a movie where there are parts with sexual content, or the profanity written in a text is eliminated.

The issue of homosexuality, or everything that has to do with sexuality has been subject to censorship by society, however, the information that can be received regarding this issue can help clarify many doubts in children and young people who, due to lack of information, may have a different or wrong perception about it.
