An urban community is understood to be that conglomerate of people established in a specific geographical area or territory which are called cities; This phenomenon is also known as “urban society”, however the latter is described as the emigration of a certain number of people who lived in the countryside to the city. In addition, urban communities comprise those physical spaces that contain a series of buildings, constructions and / or factories, together with a diversity of infrastructures that correspond to the different services provided by a given jurisdiction.
These urban spaces are characterized by containing different services such as power lines, drainage, water pipes, streets, lighting, etc. In addition to large and diverse buildings such as buildings, houses, residential complexes, factories, among others; and another particular characteristic of urban communities is that their population must be greater than 2500 individuals. In urban communities, numerous survival activities are carried out, however one of the most common and most important is commerce due to the large number of people who exist in these geographical spaces and the needs to which they resort, generating thousands of transactions for the buying and selling of countless products.
Urban communities have been increasing greatly since the last 30 to 50 years; It is estimated that by the year 2000 around 50% of the world's people were established in urban areas; and it is thanks to this accumulation of people that more and more urban communities are being formed that manage to differentiate themselves by their cultures, languages, customs, among others. The oldest known urban systems or communities date back to ancient times, these were Ancient Rome and Ancient Athens, which were very famous for their diversity and their large number of people at that time.
