Denunciation is called the process in which the competent police authorities are informed about the misdeeds committed by any person or, well, account for certain illegal activities. Usually, they give up to judicial proceedings rigorous, which will be treated according to what is stated in the law and the penal code of the country. In other aspects, the complaints would be those notices that are made publicly, in order to report faults or faults that occur in certain mechanisms, so that these can be corrected by experts on the subject.
The complaint is the first step required to initiate a judicial process. This is carried out when it is presumed that a criminal act has taken place and, if possible, point out a possible perpetrator and reasons. Based on this, the competent police forces will have the mission of determining what that act consisted of, in addition to who was the author of such acts. The police are normally in charge of receiving complaints, which will later be forwarded to a higher body, so that it can continue with the corresponding investigations. In the case of a complaint concerning public offices, a representative of the Public Ministry shall be in charge of the processes.
In some variants of the as complaint, the complainant can choose to use his right not to participate in criminal proceedings. Similarly, he should not present any evidence that confirms his statements, but the police agencies expect a kind of "evidence of reliability", to know if it is necessary to continue investigating or not.
