Gender role appreciation ranges from attitudes, actions, to personality traits related to a particular gender within that culture.

Within the family context gender roles are predominantly considered as well as in society in general and together they can be referred to as gender stereotypes. Society is very influential on gender roles, so much so that many of the patterns and attitudes that are included are constituted by it; Therefore, according to the environment in which an individual develops, everything that is classified as socially accepted will establish the behavior of a man or a woman.

Nowadays, it can be said that society has been evolving and thanks to the inclusion of new ideas and modernization, these roles have lost their marked differentiation; allowing each individual to have the possibility to choose to make the decisions that best suit them, adapting to their needs.

Generally, female roles include those tasks or activities related to reproduction, upbringing, care and everything related to the domestic environment; while male roles include activities such as economic maintenance and sustenance and everything related to force.
