There are different types of evaluation at an educational level, some of them are:
According to its function:
- Diagnostic evaluation: this is carried out previously, before starting the teaching process. It is carried out with the purpose of being able to know the previous knowledge of the students, on which they will fix the new knowledge.
- Summative Assessment: is that assessment, carried out at the end of the period, to verify whether the student was able to acquire the knowledge and skills taught, which will ultimately allow them to pass the subject or not. It depends on this evaluation if the child passes a grade or not.
- Formative evaluation: this is carried out in order to collect partial information on the wisdom acquired over time. This assessment will allow the teacher to make certain decisions, at the pedagogical level (remove or modify strategies, advance or go back in the program, simplify or add content, etc.)

- Holistic Evaluation: it is one that encompasses the student as a whole and their training, as a whole. It is a global rating.
- Informal assessment: This technique valuation techniques are not used very structured, but is based on daily observation and individual student behavior and interaction with their peers.
- Quantitative Evaluation: this type of evaluation simply considers everything that has been learned, in a simple mathematical qualification.
