Anonim

Wind is a word that derives from the Latin "ventus" which means "wind", and this from an Indo-European root. Wind is understood to be that current, flow or force of air that is produced in the atmosphere thanks to natural causes. Therefore it can be called as a meteorological phenomenon derived from those movements of rotation and translation of the planet earth; This mass movement is translated or developed horizontally. As for the differences in movement and air pressure, solar radiation is responsible for causing the temperature in the atmosphere to vary.

There are three types of winds according to the scale or the dimension of its route; These are the local, regional and planetary winds. Local winds are those that present a displacement of air from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure. Regional winds are determined by the distribution of lands and seas, in addition to the extensive continental reliefs. And finally the planetariums are produced thanks to the rotational movements of the earth, which in turn derives the differentiation of the heating of the atmosphere.

When the wind reaches a certain speed in a short period of time, and is also characterized by being very strong, it is assigned as a gust, and just as fast as it appears, it disappears. On the other hand, the so-called squalls are those winds with a very short period of time, that is, around 1 minute and that are strong; other winds are classified according to their extensive duration and strength, which as an example we can mention, the hurricane, the typhoon, the breeze.
