KitKat is the name of the eleventh version of Android or Android 4.4, developed by Google Inc in October 2013, the official launch date, accompanied by the launch of the Nexus 5, being the first smart device to use it. The dessert that characterizes this version of Android is KitKat chocolate from the Nestle company. It is an operating system preceded by Android Jelly Bean and succeeded by Android Lollipop.
It is version 4.4 of the Android operating system, it adopted the KitKat chocolate as its image and was launched on October 31, 2013 by Google Inc, its creator company. It was characterized by optimizing the use of 512 Megabytes of RAM and battery performance. It incorporated a renewal in what is the integration of Google Search and the Gmail account. The code was simplified further using the Google Play Services platform. It offers users the ability to automatically run new synchronizations if there are device changes without waiting for the apps to download to the terminal.
Its graphical enhancements include sliding full screen images behind the notification bars and menu icons. It also featured a device's own photo editor and multimedia controls with the screen locked. It presented difficulties by not unifying text messages and conversations with the Hangout application and strong criticism by limiting the writing mode on expandable memory cards.
KitKat allows the execution of office applications, being able to edit documents without problems and spreadsheets, in addition to being able to read books with its immersive visualization mode.
Since its launch, Android KitKat has been updated four times, corresponding to versions 4.4.1, 4.4.2, 4.4.3 and 4.4.4, this being the last stable one, public since June 19, 2014. It is written in C, C2 ++ and Java.
The characteristic icon of this version is a chocolate android whose body is made up of several bars of KitKat commercial chocolate, initially Android 4.4 would have the name of Key Pie Lime which means Lima Cake, however the Nestle company reached an agreement with Google for KitKat he will take the prestigious position of being the face of the update.
