The word comes from the Latin "opera" which means work; thing made or produced by an individual or several. In science, art or culture, a work is the production of human thought, created at a certain moment and remains in time for its artistic value. This term is attributed to the structure of a building or construction that is in the process of adjustment or repair.
Then we speak of public work, which is what the state develops, where public funds are invested for its creation, with the purpose or purpose of benefiting a specific society or community. In the artistic environment we have a work of art that is the invention of man, perhaps a material such as a handicraft, a painting, or any other product; and intellectual creation as a song, a story among many others. In a work of art, each artist manifests or reflects their joys, sorrows, sensations and perceptions through different plastic, sound or linguistic techniques in order to captivate the senses of their audience; A work of art can be a musical composition, a painting, a sculpture, an engraving, a book or a movie.
The word work is also referred to to describe the creation of a written story where a narrator describes a series of events or events that happen to the characters that may or may not be fictional. This is called a literary work, in which some literary resources must be used and certain linguistic rules must be followed. And its elements are the sender, the receiver, the code, the message among others.
